Throwback Thursday

Oh hi, welcome to a little #throwbackThursday session today.
Today we're kicking it old school and asking everyone to share pictures from their childhood, tell us about what was going on in the world when we were born, etc. So lets get to it.

I was born on beautiful fall day, October 1st, 1988, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Okay, I really don't know if it was a beautiful day, or what the weather was like, or what life was like, so I'm just going to go ahead and stop right there. But I imagine that it was a nice day, because it was the day of my birth and clearly I'm a miracle, or something.

1988 Throwback Prices:

Gas: $0.30/litre  (ummm that would be nice, since it's $1.50/litre now)
Avg. House Price: $138,300 (again, that would be nice. avg. house price in Vancouver right now: $1,360,000)
Dozen Eggs: $0.89 (now it's $3.00)
Cigarettes: $1.09 (now it's $10.00-ish, I think)

The world was a friendlier and cheaper place in 1988, that's for sure. But because that kind of stuff is boring, lets just go ahead and look at some pictures now.

My life in the 80's and 90's...

My dad was a good sport for going down the slide with me

When I met Minnie Mouse, it was the happiest day of my life (at that point).

My brother is a vampire, and I've got a rainbow on my face - sounds about right.

Rainbow everything. What can I say? Not much has changed...

Clearly I rocked the bangs - I should bring those back.

I've always loved cake, and always will.

Ahhh Brownies, I was so cool.

Oh look, I'm so little.

Even though we don't like rules, every fun thing in life has them. So here are a few of ours:

1. Please only link up a post if it matches with the day's topic.
2. Make sure you either grab the button code and put it in the HTML portion of your post, or link back to at least one of the hosts.
3. Go make some friends. Comments=Love

Oh. My. Gosh. Adorable. If my kids aren't as cute as you one day, I may not love them all the way.

You have the best smile! And explain to me the litre WELL LITER thing vs gallons that we have. What's the difference.
