Foggy Shenanigans

Happy Monday, friends.
Obviously I'm linking up with Sami today to fill you in on my weekend shenanigans...

one. I wanted to splurge and have a treat on Friday... but I'm a little complicated.
two. Snuggles with Roscoe, well... attempted snuggles.
three. I finally tried Chipotle for the first time on Friday night, and it was amazing.
four. Helped my friend, Jennie, move all day Saturday.
five. Selfie with Jennie in her new place.
six. So much Fall love. Boots = my favorite.
seven. It's hard to see, but this is a thick layer of fog over the city. We went up a mountain to see this. So cool.
eight. Amanda and I write motivational quotes on our whiteboard for workouts. This is my motivation this week.
nine. Driving back down the mountain, into the fog. It was seriously such a cool experience and really neat to see.

Hope your Monday is fabulous. See y'all tomorrow.

Sometimes I Wear Flower Crowns

Happy Monday, lovelies.
I had a pretty chill weekend, but I'll show you a quick glimpse! My weekend was full of workouts, spending time with friends, shopping, food prep, and a bit of relaxing.

Linking up with my favorite Princess of Shenanigans as always.

One. Flower Crown. Heck yes. It was from a work event on Friday night.
Two. Jennie and I at the work event.
Three. I bought workout clothes. Like legit workout clothes. I'm kind of obsessed with them.
Four. Favourite breakfast, ever. Scrambled eggs, bell peppers, spinach, turkey - topped with avocado and salsa.
Five. Vegan protein shake. So delicious.
Six. I was laying in bed watching tv shows by 11:30pm Saturday night. Be jealous.
Seven. Breaking in the new workout clothes.
Eight. Sunday morning cardio (running) + leg day.
Nine. Sunday's outfit. Proof that I wear real clothes and not just workout gear.

Some Typical Shenanigans

Ohhh hi, Monday.
Today is going to short and sweet because I really don't have too much excitingness to share from my weekend. Which just means that I will obviously have something more fabulous to share with y'all tomorrow.

Linking up with the Queen of Shenanigans today, obviously.

one. Pumpkin Spice Latte. I'm complicated.
two. Run in the rain (and thunder & lightening).
three. Fish lettuce wrap tacos. Nom nom nom.
four. Taking the skytrain home from the wedding I shot. I sat in the very front. Like a cool kid.
five. A shot from the wedding I photographed (a picture of the back of my camera).
six. I wore my polar for the 6-hour wedding, like a loser, just to see the calorie burn.
seven. Shameless Selfie.
eight. Food prep for the week. So. Much. Food.
nine. Selfie while I cooked.

And because I seriously have no shame, I feel like I should share these as well. Whenever I take selfies, I usually take 10-15. 90% of them look like the following pictures:
So many pics like this before I take an acceptable one for Instagram

Yeahhhh... I don't know how I'm still single.
But seriously, I don't understand how some girls take 'cute' ugly photos. This is what happens when I make ugly/funny faces. I just look crazy. Look at that middle picture - I can cross just one of my eyes if I want to, which means I can watch you and watch my nose at the same time. Awesome.

I'm done. See y'all tomorrow... if you even want to come back to this blog after those pictures. My bad.

Labour Day Shenanigans

Happy Tuesday my loves.
You all must be excited to be heading back to work after a nice 3-day long weekend, right? Okay obviously not.

I had a lovely weekend spent relaxing (which was SO necessary), and hanging out with friends. Obviously I'll be linking up with my love Sami today. Here's a glance at what my weekend looked like.

One. Went to the night market on Friday. Such a pretty view from the pier.
Two. They're among us.
Three. I might have stayed up until 6:00am on Friday night - selfie at 4:00am.
Four. Selfie before dinner with friends.
Five. Champagne wishes.
Six. 'Dark Table' - a restaurant where you eat in 100% darkness. Interesting experience, but lots of fun with a group of friends.
Seven. Planning workouts for my 90-Day Challenge.
Eight. Amanda and I tried to take a 'family portrait'. This is the best we could get.
Nine. My favourite brunch. Scrambled eggs, avocado, salsa, hummus, sriracha, lean ground turkey, and turkey bacon.

Overall, I had a great weekend. I had some interesting experiences on Chat Roulette this weekend. I'm pretty sure that'll have to be a blog post at some point this week. I had never really used the site before, I had gone on it once or twice with friends - but I wasn't interested in it. For some reason, I'm going to blame the lethal combination of insomnia and boredom, I thought it was a good idea to play on Chat Roulette. Anyway, like I said, this will be a blog post later in the week for sure. Ha.

Hope everyone has a great first day back to work after the long weekend.

Weekend Shenanigan Rejects

Ya'll know the drill.
It's Monday, which means that we're linking up with the Princess of Shenanigans to talk about our weekends.
To summarize: I did stuff. Fun stuff. Be jealous.

No, but seriously. I forgot to take my camera iPhone out for the majority of the weekend, so my weekend recap looks a little odd. Not photographed: dinner and drinks with friends on Friday night, BBQ with friends on Saturday night, watching Breaking Bad in bed for 3 glorious hours on Saturday morning. Like I said, be jealous.

one. Sweatin' to the oldies - just kidding, my life isn't a Richard Simmons VHS from 1992.
two. Vodka is just awesome water. Yes, yes it is. That's why it's my cheat meal.
three. I decided it was fall and cracked out my knee-high boots and leggings on Friday night.
four. I attended a Brain Solutions seminar. Information overload, but I learned a lot about health and well-being.
five. Best Davids Tea sign I've ever seen.
six. I decided to start Couch 2 5k, I'm still alive so I'd say it's going well.
seven. This salad completes my life. Seriously.
eight. Thanks to Juliette, I can now take selfies while I run. You can thank her.
nine. I ended Sunday night watching the President of Pop perform. I felt like it was a religious experience. Amen.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While I was putting together this fabulous little collage above, I noticed that I have sooooooooo (it means a lot) many selfies that I've never posted/shared/included in my weekend shenanigans. For good reason. Despite my better judgement, I decided to put together a collage of some of my selfie rejects. I mean, I'm like really pretty guys, so this collage might be too much beauty for you to handle - but just try and contain yourselves.

I'd like to preface this by saying that I shared this collage with one of my best friends and she told me that this might just solidify her thoughts that I'm "special". I've got great friends.

I'm not even going to explain any of these. I'll let them speak for themselves.

Also, this might be an indication as to why I'm single right now. Maybe. Whatever, I'm awesome.

Sketti Shenanigans

Oh hey there, Monday.
I played hooky around the blog at the end of the week last week - sorry about that. But I'm baaack with a few pictures of my weekend so I can link-up with Ms. Shenanigans

This weekend didn't contain as much clean eating and exercise as it should have. It also included way too many 'cheat meals' ie. alcohol. Oops. We all fall off the bandwagon sometimes because of peer pressure.

one. De Konnick. It's De Licious.
two. Friday night workout before movie and drinks/tapas with Amanda.
three. The worst calamari that Amanda and I have ever consumed. It tasted like hot dogs - no lie.
four. Running errands - car selfie, duh.
five. Saturday morning run/workout.
six. Saturday selfies.
seven. This will be vlogged later this week. Jennie and I made Honey Boo Boo style sketti.
eight. Princess Roscoe.
nine. Did I mention that alcohol is my cheat meal?

Happy Monday, friends. Hope y'all don't have the Monday Blues.

Weekend Shenanigans

Happy Monday, everyone!

Well, friends, the weekend shenanigans are over and it's back to real life. This weekend was an interesting one. Saturday consisted of the worst date of my entire life, and probably the worst date of anyone's life. Don't worry, I'll be sharing that glorious story tomorrow, and you won't want to miss it.
Unfortunately, I completely forgot to take pictures most of the time, but these are the pictures that I have to share with you. Enjoy:

1. Cut a hole in the box.
2. Put your junk in that box.
3. Make her open the box.

Oops, wrong list.

1. Selfie
2. Eating dinner outside means that this little munchkin will be sitting beside me and watching every last bite.
3. Yet another selfie.
4. This guy has a sign that says 'Will you marry me?'. She said yes.
5. Three of my friends who ran the lululemon half marathon - this is at the end of the race.
6. He's so cute when he sleeps.
7. Road trip to Squamish with Amanda. We had Calamari, with a side of calamari. The waiter laughed at us.
8. I like my food to look like a rainbow. Food prep for the week.
9. If you workout and don't tweet/blog/instagram/facebook about it, did it really happen? Kidding. This is how I ended my Sunday.

And that is all she wrote, friends. See you all tomorrow. I promise you're not going to want to miss the dirty details of the date from hell.

Vacation Shenanigans

Happy Monday (said no-one, ever).
It's a holiday in Canada today, so I'm going to enjoy this Monday a little more than normal. I might actually still be sleeping when you read this. My bad.
As usual, I'm linking up with the lovely Sami.

This time I'm doing something a little different. Instead of showing you all what I did this weekend - I'm going to show you all what my vacation (from a week ago, oops) looked like. Bring on the vacation shenanigans, they're my favourite.

vacationshenanigans1
One. Not being able to sleep on a red-eye flight = this face.
Two. Almost home.
Three. Re-united with two of my favorite guys.
Four - Six. I forgot how humid it gets in Nova Scotia. Mandatory pool time to cool off. Pool-side selfies with Jennifer and Ashley.
Seven. We're really really pretty. Also, love that frizzy humid-hair.
Eight. I was forced to sweep up the floor because I knocked the garbage bag over. Oops.
Nine. Love these kids.

vacationsshenanigans1
One. A lot of kids on one couch.
Two. Road-trip to the valley.
Three. Delicious delicious ice cream. So good.
Four. My neck hurts just looking at this one. It's so awkward, I had to share.
Five. I tried to eat healthy if/when I could.
Six. Yep. This happened.
Seven-Nine. Selfies, selfies, selfies.

vacationshenangians3
One. It's so hard to relax next to the hideous place.
Two. The humidity got to him.
Three. Nothing but fields out here.
Four-Six Selfies everyday. Also, I can't have straight hair in Nova Scotia.
Seven. Ashley and I had a Rummy-Cube marathon.
Eight. Bonfires are always perfect on a nice summer night.
Nine. Oh hey, puddle.

vacationshenanigans2

One. Why wouldn't I take a picture of sheep? They're cute and fluffy.
Two. Selfies in the washroom.
Three. Fire selfies.
Four. We might have done beer shots. Ha.
Five. I may have made Ashley chug wine.
Six. mmmm beer.
Seven. Typical.
Eight. My brother was cold..
Nine. Ashley and I struggle.

vacationshenanigans4

One. Ashley doesn't want to play games with me anymore.
Two. No truer words have ever been spoken.
Three. Always say yes to a Photo-Booth.
Four. Funny story about these cows - they were kind of humping. They stopped and stared when I tried to take a picture. Weird thing is that they're both female.
Five. New phone case from my cousin. Pretty princess case.
Six. Pistachio cake. It's one of the most delicious things in the world. Thanks Sierra for baking this.
Seven. How do you turn down tacos?
Eight. I don't even know. But look at that sweet 'humid hair'. I was so over it.
Nine. Rolling Rock beer.

This is hands down my favorite collage, ever. Sierra is basically my soulmate. Here is the proof:

faithandsierra

My parents and I had to kill some time at the airport while we waited for my flight to take off. Obviously, we took some shameless selfies. It's just what happens.

lovethem

One-Three. My mom is just so adorable. She's so little and I just want to put her in my back pocket. Also, notice the "bunny ears" above my head in #2, and dad creeping in the background in #3... he wasn't a fan of being left out of pictures.
Four-Six. Nobody ever listens to me aka 'the photographer' about the importance of back lighting pictures, so I humored them and took a picture of us staring directly into the sun. #6 is just a massive fail.
Seven-Nine. Dad refused to take a normal picture with me. #9 is the closest to 'normal' that we got.

On my flight home, I got a little carried away with pictures. So then I did the obvious thing and took selfies. I go from the most serious look, to the most amazing SMIZE that Tyra Banks would fawn over. I mean look at dem eyez. If you ask me, I think it's missing some googly eyes, and then it transitions back to air plane pictures.

vacationshenanigans6

Yep, I'm ending this post with the creepy eyes picture. You're welcome.

Vodka is my cheat meal

Happy Monday!
(Said no-one, ever.)

It was another fabulous weekend in my world. I definitely cheated big time this weekend and you can just say that my cheat meal of choice was vodka. If you follow me on twitter or Instagram, then you might have seen the many pictures and random tweets on Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Sorry about that.

My weekend consisted of: BBQ with friends, sunset on the beach, two delicious brunches, dinner and drinks on the patio, far too much vodka, working out, and ended the weekend with Despicable Me 2.

Here's what my weekend looked like.

    1. Friday night drinks.
    2. Amanda is really good with animals. They clearly love her.
    3. BBQ deliciousness.
    4. Selfie.
    5. Drunk Selfie. Everything tastes better in a Superman glass.
    6. Drunk Selfie... indulging in ice cream at 2am, despite being lactose intolerant. Oops.
    7. Jennie playing with the cats, at 2 or 3am..
    8. Sunset on the beach with friends.
    9. One of Jennie's cats - Lexi.

Lets get this Monday thing started.

Canadian Shenanigans

photo_3

I'm late to the party today, but Happy Canada Day everyone!
I steered clear of the interwebz for the weekend because I was off playing and partaking in some fun shenanigans.

None of this weekends activities are part of my 'healthy lifestyle', and I definitely had 3 or 4 (alcoholic) drinks and a few cheat meals. But, I'm not going to be hard on myself about it and I just have to get back into the swing of things now.
Also, let me just start by saying that I'd like every weekend to be a 3-day weekend. They're so much more fun than 2-day weekends. Someone work on changing this ASAP. kthx.

canadadayweekend

canadadayweekend2

Some Highlights from the weekend:
    Road trip to Seattle.
Experiencing (a bit) of Seattle pride.
Chilling out max, and relaxing all cool.
Cheat meals. Glorious, glorious cheat meals.
Spending quality time with my friends, and some of my most favorite people.
    Canada Day shenanigans.

p.s. I'm probably going to be lame and not post tomorrow (Tuesday). But I'll be back for Hump Day, I promise!

Ten People You See At Weddings

Happy Monday, friends.
I feel like the weekend flew by way too fast. It's pretty rude, actually. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and that you're ready to get back to the grind!

My Friday consisted of having dinner and seeing Les Miserables broadway production with a few great friends. It was nothing short of amazing, and I promise that there wasn't anything 'miserable' about it. Ha, I'm punny. Okay, I'm not... but lets not go there.

On Saturday, I second-shot a wedding for Teryn Lee Photography. It was a nice day, and I ended it off by having a picnic on the beach. Sunday didn't involve anything exciting, so I won't even recap.

Eric & Krysta - MARRIED
Itty-bitty sneak peak from Saturday's wedding. Boo to my formatting getting screwed up on the picture on the right.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since I shot a wedding on Saturday, and since I've shot or attended probably 20-25 weddings now, I've written a list:

Ten People You See At Weddings.

    1. 'Uncle Bob' - a term that a lot of photographer's use to describe that 'uncle' at the wedding who brings his 'fancy camera' with the kits lens on it. He usually follows the photographer everywhere they go, and often steps in front of the photographers so he can get 'the shot'. I vote that Uncle Bob gets banned from taking pictures.

    2. Grandma Mae - the sweet grandma that wanders around the wedding looking a little lost. She thinks everything that day is just amazing and tells stories about how this wedding is more elaborate than her modest wedding in the 1940's/1950's. Grandma Mae is hands down my favorite wedding guest.

    { Source }

    3. Douchebag Derek - This guy. Oh, this guy. He was probably the grooms roommate at university. He's single, and probably won't settle down until he's 42, or ever. The bride hates him, but agrees to invite him so the groom feels like he has a say in who the wedding guests are. His mission is to hook-up with one of the bridesmaids... but he will settle for anyone who is willing.
Douchebag Derek is his name for a reason.

    4. Cousin Johnny - could also be 'Uncle Johnny'. Tells a lot of inappropriate jokes, makes weird/rude comments, and probably makes the flower girl cry. We don't have control over who our family members are, but cousin Johnny needs to go away.

    { Source }

    5. Happy-Go-Lucky Harry - he's probably one of my favorite guests. He's there to have a good time, no ifs ands or buts about it. He's outgoing and friendly and he can't wait for the dance party to start. He is the first one on the dance floor and the last one remaining. He sweats out all of the alcohol that he has consumed and I guarantee that he has a tie on his head at some point during the dance party.

    6. Desperate Diana - She will probably hook-up with Douchebag Derek. She's in her late 20's or early 30's and thinks that her life is over because she's the last one of her friends who isn't married. She has a fake smile on her face all day when really.. she just wants to cry. Don't worry homegirl, you're better than hooking up with Douchebag Derek. You won't be single forever. Or maybe you will, I don't know you.. so maybe you'll be a crazy cat lady who never gets married. I just don't know.

    { Source }

    7. Judgmental Judy - she's the one who walks around the venue, judging the flowers, small details, and even table linens. She feels as though she's a wedding pro because she has attended eleventy billion weddings. She knows her shit - and you can bet that she's judging all of your little details.

    8. Whiny Wendy - this girl complains about anything and everything. The ceremony starts 5 minutes late? She's complaining about it. Food isn't being served yet? Whine whine whine. DJ isn't playing her favorite song? It's all she's talking about. You just can't please everyone, but Whiny Wendy takes this to a whole new level.

    { Source }

    9. Lush Lucy/Lukey - okay, just call him Luke, I call him Lukey as a pet-name. Anyway, both Lucy and Luke come to the wedding for one reason, and one reason only: OPEN BAR. Yes, they're probably happy that 'X' is marrying 'Y'.. But really, they are there for the party and free booze. Typically they have a few pre cocktail party cocktails just to get the party started. You'll see them constantly with a drink in their hand, usually while they're in line at the bar for their next drink. Don't worry, Lucy and Luke are usually the life of the party - they're fun guests to have.

    10. Toasting Timmy - the one who grabs the mic whenever possible and gives as many toasts/cheers as possible throughout the entire reception. He thinks he's the back-up MC, and should probably sit as far away from the podium as possible. At least his toasts get more and more entertaining as the night goes on. My favorite toast I've heard yet:

"I was told that this toast should last as long as it takes the groom to make love to the bride tonight.
So I'll end this here. Thanks for having me."

    { Source }

What do you think? Are there any other wedding guests I've forgotten?

Disclaimer: This list isn't meant to offend anyone by any means, these are just the type of people that I have come across.
Also, I am not saying that all of these people were at the wedding this weekend.
